About Camp Education Society's Dr. Arvind B. Telang Senior College Arts, Commerce and Science

Camp Education Society has been established in 1885 by Rajanna Lingu Polas, Balkrishna Sayanna Motadu, B. Dastur, Dorabji Booty, Gangaram Bhau Mhaske and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule along with other socially committed people, to create social awareness and to spread the light of education for socially and financially backward sections of the society. The society takes pride in the fact that noted social reformer and educationalist Acharya Atre worked as Head Master for Camp Education Society for about two decades.

As a part of Camp Education Society Dr. Arvind B. Telang Senior College is established in 1998. The Camp Education Society bloomed and flourished under the guidance of able management. Dr. A. B. Telang was a man of strong convictions, determination and will-power. Being predominantly and Educationist at heart, establishing this college was a dream for him. Hon. Walchand Sancheti is an able administrator and successful businessman who is the chairman of Camp Education Society.

This Dr. Arvind B. Telang Senior College has the distinction of being assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, with ‘B’ Grade in its sixth year.
